Nourishing November

It is officially cold in Chicago. We had our first snow a few days ago and it's been hovering around freezing since then. Plus Daylight Savings Time ended last week, so now we're really getting deep into the darkness. This seems like a good time to get into some cozy vibes, so I am trying … Continue reading Nourishing November

Mindfulness May

Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! And AAPI Heritage Month! This month we are veering off the railroad tracks in favor of a theme that aligns with mental health awareness. Because, tbh, my mental health could use some tending to right now. It's been a demanding Spring semester, on the heels of a busy Fall semester, … Continue reading Mindfulness May

December: Brush Lettering and Looking Ahead to January

It's that part of the year between Thanksgiving and Christmas where time seems to slip right through my fingers like sand. New Year Reset!

Today's "wild and fun" adventure is to embark on a brand new set of lunalutions. What is a lunalution, you ask? A lunalution is a resolution on a monthly scale. Last January I decided to set myself 12 lunalutions-- a challenge for every month of the year. The Project and Month 1

The new year is here, and the time has come to set those 2018 resolutions!

But this year I've decided to do something a little different. Instead of setting 3+ ambitious year-long resolutions that I forget about by mid-January, I have decided to set 12 monthly resolutions (lunalutions, if you will) of varying degrees of ambition. And this blog is where I will keep myself accountable to those lunalutions and report on my experiences as I go through the year.
